This needle felting project will let you create six cute felt decorations—two bears, two rabbits, and two mice—for holiday decor. Designed for all ages, it comes with step-by-step photo instructions that teach you simple felting techniques. 

Needle felting is like sculpting with wool. You take the wool and, with a special barbed needle, poke it repeatedly until it forms the shapes and creations you want. It’s simple, satisfying, and a perfect way to dive into the world of felting, especially if you’re a total beginner. Though, we find that even seasoned crafters will find some charm in creating something new with their hands.

However, you shouldn't let children under the age of 14 handle it unsupervised because of sharp and small parts.

Inside this box, you'll find:

• Natural felt
• 8 shades of wool fiber (pink, red, brown, mocha, blue, green, and cream)
• 2x felting needles
• Striped thread
• Three animal templates (bear, rabbit, and mouse)

To start, you'll need a soft surface to work on. A sponge will do but a foam felting mat would be better. For this project, you're looking at something around  6" x 6" x 2" or 15cm x 15cm x 5cm.
