Summer Embroidery Kit by Alice Makabe

Welcome summer's flora and fauna!

This intermediate kit, that comes with a wooden frame, reflects the peak of flower season. It is one of Alice Makabe's original designs.

Of creating this design, which is part of her Four Seasons collection, she says...

The kit contains:

• Printed outline on cotton fabric
• DMC cotton embroidery floss
• Special wooden frame that doubles as wall art or stand
• Stitch guide with color chart that allows you to recreate rich textures and fanciful details as you hone your stitching skills
• Detailed instructions in Japanese only*, although there are very detailed diagrams

Things to prepare:

• Sewing thread

• Sewing needle

• Scissors

• Tape

• Iron

*Please note it only has Japanese instructions. But my special trick is to simply read the instructions using Google Translate on my phone. It uses your camera to view the instructions and magically shows it on your screen in English - or whatever other language you prefer!
