The sewing kit is deadstock, meaning it is unused but has been stored in a miliary warehouse for many years. Some discoloration or missing stitches on the fabric and slight rust on the needles may be present. To refresh the tarnished metal, consider a light sanding then a coat of sewing machine oil or a swipe of beeswax. We consider all these to be features of deadstock military products, and hope that you also appreciate them.
