Yukata Cotton Fabric Pack - Indigo
Indigo
A little piece of Japanese textile history—ready for your next project.
This curated pack includes 8-10 pieces of vintage yukata cotton, all sourced from Japan and dating from the 1950s to the 1980s.
Some pieces are still crisp with their original starch. Some fabric in this set was once part of a full-length kimono or yukata and may still have hand sewing threads from their original kimono form. Because of the whole-cloth garment construction method, kimono fabrics are folded and sewn rather than cut into shapes. This means that when deconstructed, the fabric panels retain their full width and can be more easily repurposed since the original fabric was not cut.
Perfect for patchwork, English Paper Piecing (EPP), visible mending, and textile art, these lightweight, breathable cotton fabrics bring an authentic touch to your handmade creations.
