These fabrics carry the legacy of Kantha, one of India’s oldest embroidery traditions. The word "Kantha" comes from the Sanskrit word "kontha" or repurposed cloth. Historically, women would repurpose old saris and dhotis into beautiful, functional items like blankets, quilts, and garments. Kantha quilts are crafted by layering soft fabrics and hand-stitching them together using a running stitch.

Each bundle includes 5 unique pieces, all cut from the quilts shown in the photos. Every bundle is pulled from 9 different quilts, making every set an exciting and unique mix. You can use them for bag making, quilting, patchwork, or whatever crafty adventure you’re dreaming up.
