This is a free stitch embroidery kit, which gives you the supplies, but let's you choose the pattern and stitches. Some ideas to get you started are: 

• Write script words on the gingham, using the checkered pattern of the fabric as a dynamic backdrop for your lettering. 
• Use the gingham checks as a guide to create classic chicken scratch embroidery—think geometric patterns of crosses and lines that pop against the grid
