Blue Bird Clasp Pouch Embroidery Set

Create something truly unique and beautiful!

Featuring delicate blue birds in Alice Makabe's signature style, this intermediate-level project set lets you stitch your own clasp purse. The set includes a beautiful gray linen cloth, which allows you to add more texture. There is also  extra fabric so you will have precious scraps.

This intermediate-level project is free-stitch, meaning no colors or stitches are prescribed for the embroidery. Choose your own floss and  “paint” the fabric with thread however you like. 

This includes:

• 1 clasp purse frame with wooden balls
• 1 piece of printed Bird fabric (approx. 50cm x 55 cm),  55% Linen & 45% Cotton
• 1 piece of gray linen cloth (approx. 50cm x 68cm)
• Instructions are in Japanese* using metric measurements, but there are good diagrams to follow.

Sewing — either by machine or by hand — is required to assemble the purse.

*While the instructions are in Japanese, the diagrams are more than enough to help you follow the stitches. However, you can also download Google Translate to your phone and take a photo of the instruction page. It'll translate everything into English! Here's a tutorial on how to use it.
